From November 1994 until September 2003, Len Templeton was a Vice President, National Sales Manager, and a registered representative of ABN AMRO Financial Services’ Municipal Bond Department in Chicago. During this time he helped build a customer base for $3.5 billion of short-term tax-exempt products, as well as distribute over $40 billion of tax-exempt securities. He began his career managing municipal bond portfolios for individual trust accounts at the First National Bank of Chicago in 1972. From 1975 to 1994, he was an institutional municipal bond salesman who covered major municipal accounts throughout the country. In 2003 he moved from Chicago to Phoenix to establish Templeton Financial Services and manage fixed income portfolios. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his undergraduate degree in business from Indiana University.
Bill Smith received a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona. In 2009, he began his career as a fixed income product specialist with Wells Fargo Advisors, executing trades, building fixed income portfolios, and managing regional relationships as a municipal specialist for the Southeast region. He later moved on to the fixed income trading desk at Edward Jones, where he traded financial, telecommunication, media, tech, and insurance paper. He joined Templeton Financial Services in late 2012 as a fixed income trader and portfolio manager.
Dorothy W. Ugarte received a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University Chicago. She began her municipal career at Duff & Phelps as a Municipal Research Associate reviewing the underlying municipal credits of a Reinsurer. She spent the bulk of her 15 year career at LaSalle Financial Services Inc. helping commit capital to new issue product, supporting sales and trading with transaction based credit research, and reviewing credits in a MuniTOPS portfolio. She joined Templeton Financial Services as an Analyst in 2009 to support the efforts of the Portfolio Managers. She was a previous member of Chicago Municipal Analysts Society and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
